Michelle Keim captures a unique perspective of industrial structures in her series Iron Beauties. Normally these large imposing plants are seen only as eye sores that are heavily contributing to pollution. Keim seeks to look at these constructions beyond their negative consequences. She shoots them as part of the natural landscape. Being shot in the dark gives their presence mystery but also dominance. They command power in themselves but also mark the power of human kind.
